What Are Futures?

Futures are wines that are purchased straight from the barrel before they are bottled. You come in, you taste wine directly from the barrel, your eyes roll, you say Yum! And then you buy.

How Do Futures Work?

Wines are purchased in half-case (6 bottles) or case (12 bottles) lots per wine*. You pay for the wine, go home and anticipate the arrival. Once the wines are bottled, they are ready to be shipped to you, or picked-up by you.

*We are sorry but we cannot accommodate mixed lots or smaller quantities.

Why Should I Buy Futures?

The Futures Program allows us to offer our award-winning, small production wines at an attractive price to our valued customers. For example, a wine with a projected price of $52.00 a bottle can be purchased on a Futures basis for as little as $36.40! That represents a 30% savings.
- Wine club members receive a 25% discount on 6 bottle lots, and a whopping 30% discount on 12 bottle lots
- Non-wine club members receive a 15% discount on 6 bottle lots, and a 20% discount on 12 bottle lots.
Many of our wines are in such limited quantity that they may only be available on a Futures basis and/or to our wine club members.

How Do I Buy Futures?

Come in and see us. If time and personnel allow we will be happy to take you into the cellar to barrel taste available wines. Better yet, call and make an appointment to be sure that we have someone here to take care of you. Once you know what you like, the Tasting Room staff will be happy to help you out.

Please keep in mind that our on-line ordering system does NOT automatically calcuate discounts, tax and/or shipping charges. Once you place an order a real, live person will contact you via email or phone to confirm your order and to give you the cost after all applicable discounts, tax and shipping charges have been calculated.

Are My Futures Ready?

They might be! We will try to alert you via email when your futures are ready, but your best bet is to check our website frequently to see if your wines are ready. If you bought your futures recently, check our llist of wines that have been bottled, but not yet released. If you bought your Futures so long ago you can’t remember, check our list of Current wines. If the wines you bought on a Futures basis show up on either list, you’re ready to rock-and-roll. If you still can’t find your wine, check our list of estimated bottling dates. It could be your wine is still in barrel.

My Futures are Ready…Now What do I Do?

If you told us to ship your wine, email us at info@amphorawines.com to let us know you’re ready to receive your wines. Make sure to give us your name, wines you are expecting and your current shipping address. Remember, a business address is always preferred. We will confirm that we have received your request and tracking information will be emailed to you.

If you told us you’d pick-up your wine, come on in! We’re here from 11:00 to 4:30, seven days a week. Even better, give us a call to let us know you’re coming. We’ll have your wine ready and maybe even do a little more barrel tasting while you’re here.
