Peters Vineyard is located on the western edge of Russian River Valley appellation, and the cool coastal aspect of this site is ideal for Burgundian varietals. The cool microclimate maintains the natural acidity of the ripening fruit, and promotes an ideal profile for barrel-fermentation in French oak. Our 2014 opens with juicy grilled pineapple and lemon blossom aromas, and its flavors follow with a mineral-tinged lemon zest and touch of butterscotch. The wine is lively and bright on the palate, with a clean, citrus finish. The fine oak is integrated seamlessly, and the overall impression emphasizes the character of the Chardonnay variety.
