2014 Barbera | Clarksburg

 Our Barbera consistently shows a delicious combination of savory notes and dark fruit character, and this 2014 is no exception. This one is a bit deeper and darker than some of its predecessors, an intensity characteristic of that vintage. There’s a note of leather and herb alongside the dark berry fruit,  and the mouthfeel carries a nice brightness and moderate tannins. A particular vineyard character of clean loamy earthiness is evident in this wine, as it is across the board in the varietals we source from it.  It’s very approachable now, but it has the character to reward a few more years in bottle.
