Pinot Noir 2013 Lakeville Vineyard
We have sourced this 100% Pommard clone Pinot Noir since 2007. This vineyard grows at an elevation of 500 feet at the north end of Lakeville Vineyard, in the so-called Petaluma Gap area of the Sonoma Coast appellation. This fruit has been very consistent year after year, with deep color, and a densely–packed dark fruit character of cherry and plum, along with a touch of cranberry. There’s a mineral note, and just a hint of nutmeg to make it all the more interesting. This wine is smooth and rich on the palate from front to back. This is a great candidate for pairing with dishes featuring the leafy, forest-floor character of seasonal mushrooms.
